social digital solutions

MAD was first approached by Sarah, the founder of the Kids Arthritis charity, to come up with branding for their major sponsor who was about to re-launch his digital marketing business.

After hearing the stories of both Sarah and her charity, and how generous their sponsor was with his contributions, we felt privileged to be a part of their cause.

The brief was a challenging one, to create a logo that represented the marketing business but also had ties to the charity. We started with the two blues from the charity’s branding, to start the connection between the two organisations. This is another multi element design. The bottom of the light bulb consists of two speech bubbles. The darker blue at the bottom represents the clients first contact with Brett, the owner of the business. His response is the second speech bubble in lighter blue. The blend of the two colours within the bulb signifies the coming together of his ideas with his clients input to result in the final solution. The heart shape of the globe’s filament represents his caring nature, as well as the love that can be felt towards the children who suffer with this terrible condition. The six light beams represent the six different services on offer at SDS.

The font has a nice modern look, suitable for his field, with the thickness in fonts a nice way of eliminating spaces between the words whilst still being readable.

On a personal note, we were saddened to hear about the painful struggle these brave children have to go through, with the arthritis not just in their joints but throughout their body, even the eyes. One in one thousand children is born with Juvenile Arthritis and Sarah has done an amazing job to create the charity herself, the only one of its kind to support sufferers and their families.
